If we had got to the final and lost, I doubt it would of been nowhere near as painful our final in 2006.

With the two alternatives on offer for me I would choose England to win the WC.
Pair something like the PL title for us or the WC for England and I would opt for WHU to win the PL. it would be an absolute first for us.

If I had to choose then West Ham would win a trophy over England without even a moment of hesitation. However I am English and support the England football team. When the winning penalty went in aganst Columbia and when Ali headed in against Sweeden I went mad, I did not stand there thinking "I wish this was West Ham" or "Fuck that, it was a Spurs player".
If you do not support the England team then fair enough, I even undersatnd a niggling issue that we do not want the legacy of the West Ham players of 66 to be forgotten, but they won't. The game has changed beyond recognition and Moore, Hurst and Peters will always be etched into West Ham and England folklore, whatever happens in Russia.

I'm still confused at people talking about rivalry etc.
International football has nothing to do with club football and the last I heard, I'm pretty sure the world cup wouldn't be kept at WHL in their trophy cabinet!!

To be fair the club does not give a monkey’s about any of the cup comps and more often than not put out shitty weakened teams …. At least we are taking the WC seriously…. Well apart from the Belgium game that is… SWT

So some people's desire to see England do well depends on which club the players play for? Fucking pathetic if true.
